Kate is a Licensed Professional Counselor who offers counseling services for: parenting struggles, oppositional defiance, anger management and emotion regulation difficulties, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and self-harm behaviors in children, adolescents and adults. She helps clients using cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused and acceptance commitment therapeutic techniques. Kate has completed her EMDR II training and has specialized training helping clients experiencing trauma including those diagnosed with PTSD. She tailors her approach to the needs of every individual clients to provide the support and tools needed to successfully reach the identified therapeutic goals.
After completing a Bacher’s degree in Psychology at Missouri State University, Kate completed her Master’s Degree training at the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in Springfield, MO.
Kate is the facilitator for several of our group classes.
She facilitates our S.A.F.E. Alternatives group for teen girls who self-harm or struggle with a negative body image. She also is the facilitator for our Love and Logic parenting class group.
